Denisa Caldová Joins Leading PropTech Company Sharry as a PR Manager

Denisa Caldová has joined Sharry as a PR Manager. Prior to her new role, she worked for a United States-based PR agency, Konnect Agency, for seven years while living in Los Angeles and New York City. In this position, her responsibilities included building strong relationships with media and ensuring media presence for her American and international clients. Those have appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, TechCrunch, Fortune a Fast Company. She left Konnect Agency in the role of an Account Supervisor.

As a PR Manager at Sharry, Denisa Caldová will tap into her extensive knowledge of the American market, given its importance for the brand. Her PR expertise and knowledge of the market are crucial due to its competitive nature, built on high expectations from local media.

Her main challenges in the role are building brand awareness on the American and European markets, as well as supporting the brand's SEO. Sharry’s marketing team has a long standing experience with performance marketing, events, design, social media, outbound and content marketing and brand strategy. Until now, PR has been a missing component. Because of that, the role of a PR Manager is key for Sharry and it was essential for the brand to find an individual with previous career experience from the United States.

“After 12 years abroad and seven of these in the U.S., I felt that it was the right time to return to Europe and help ambitious brands with the entry to the American market. Sharry caught my eye due to its global vision, potential and quickly growing international team,” said Denisa Caldová, PR Manager at Sharry.

167 Green Street is the first office building in the United States to offer all tenants building-wide access with a tap of their iPhone or Apple Watch. The Apple Wallet access badge was delivered by Sharry.

Located in Prague, Sharry creates software for modern offices and office buildings with more than 160 000 users globally. Sharry’s target markets are USA, UK and EU. The company has previously received investment from Czech venture capital firms Presto Ventures and J&T Ventures.

Sharry has been experiencing rapid global growth and the company is currently preparing for Series A investment round with involvement of international investors. At the same time, Sharry has been gaining on popularity in the Czech market, with recent inclusion in the TOP30 most popular Czech startups (as selected by magazine CzechCrunch), as well as receiving multiple international accolades.

“We are very happy that Denisa decided to join Sharry. Our global marketing activities are led from Prague but our target market is the US.. And it’s practically impossible to find PR experts with previous experience from the American market who are located in Prague. What is even more interesting is that we met by chance but less than 12 hours later we agreed to work together,” said Marc Delacroix, Chief Growth Officer at Sharry.

Denisa Caldová has a Bachelor Degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam where she completed a course in Communications and Media. She also holds a Master’s Degree from British Kingston University in Magazine Journalism. Her latest academic achievement is a leadership course in Digital Marketing at Columbia Business School. She has been working in PR and journalism for over 10 years.
