One building mobile app powered by Sharry Workplace

  • Mobile access

Tenants have the option to download the workplace app – One Vanderbilt – to obtain mobile access as a primary mode for entering building lobbies, walking through turnstiles, and calling elevators, optimising the journey from entry all the way to the tenant's home floor.

  • Visitor management

Tenants have the ability to add external guests to the system using QR code based invitations. In some cases, this will allow visitors to enter the building through the turnstiles directly with no need to check-in at reception.

  • Communication with occupiers

The app allows the Property Manager to actively communicate news, announcements and alerts to all the tenants and occupants using the app.

  • The Community

Through the app, occupants will be able to reserve shared facilities and amenities and gain information about events hosted. This common platform serves as a basis for connections with the building, people and services.

  • Data and Analytics

The visualization of data will allow tenants and property managers to proactively respond to occupancy trends across a period of time. Tracking the number of visitors, occupancy level and the distribution of people in the building will enable the building to anticipate trends and reach high performance as a real estate asset.

“Sharry has been an excellent partner in designing and implementing the One Vanderbilt app. They helped create a healthier workplace and frictionless experience at One Vanderbilt, adding to the best-in-class amenities and forward thinking technology at Midtown’s premier office tower.”

The implementation of technology stack for One Vanderbilt

AES

The main responsibility of Advanced Electronic Solutions (AES) as the integrators includes the preparation and installation of all necessary hardware, cabling, testing and the right configuration of access control to ensure readiness and high performance of all technologies in place.

HID Global

HID Global was instrumental in the success of the project. As a trusted technology provider, the HID team guided the client through possible solutions. The newly installed HID Signo readers use Bluetooth and NFC to communicate with the Sharry application, which contains the SDK kit. The cloud-based portal, HID Origo, allowed for the provision of virtual cards for mobile access on smartphones, fast onboarding of users and enhanced communication.

C•CURE by Software House

Tyco technologies provided its C•CURE 9000 security management system, which provides critical security and safety protection for people, buildings and assets. It standardizes the approach to physical access authorization throughout the building. Users can quickly and easily access the application on workstations, laptops or mobile devices. The data link between Sharry and CCURE allowed for smooth bilateral communication and seamless data exchange, including the integration to elevator management.

Sharry

The evaluation of the approach, performance of the building systems technology stack and user experience including fast implementation, easiness of use, overall performance and business fit lead to the final decision and appointment of Sharry as the technology partner.

Sharry Inc. is providing cloud-based management software connected to building hardware, an access control platform and the HID Global Origo portal. The One Vanderbilt application is available on the Apple store and Google Play, allowing building occupiers to use the special features for building interaction. The app introduces new processes for streamlining the performance of the building for property management, security and marketing.
